*Currently accepting new Individual and Group Supervisees

Barb Kirkham, RP is the co-founder of Insight Clinical Supervision. Barb is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of wisdom and experience to her role as clinical supervisor. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and also possesses a vast background in business management. Barb has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour from McMaster University, as well as a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. She has furthered her education through extensive training in: Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT); as well as completion of the Intensive Sex Therapy Training Program through the University of Guelph. This breadth of training and experience gives Barb the ability to speak to a wide variety of therapeutic approaches with her supervisees. Barb’s approach to supervision is one where she strives to create an emotionally safe place where supervisees are free to explore their own personal approach to therapy. Barb’s style is warm and conversational while still being directive and full of wisdom. She counts it an honour to be able to help guide emerging and established practitioners as they build solid, sustainable private practices. On the personal side, Barb has been married for 42 years and has three adult sons. She loves to travel (having visited 26 different countries…and counting!), always returning with new ideas to fuel her dual passions for photography and cooking. When she’s not in the office you can often find her curled up with a coffee, biscotti and a good book with her two pups—Sedona and Savana—at her feet.

*Currently NOT accepting new Individual and Group Supervisees

Rob Stanley, RP is the co-founder of Insight Clinical Supervision. Rob has been employed in not-for-profit, institutional, and private practice counselling roles for over twenty years. He is the founder and Lead Therapist at Whiteboard Counselling in Oakville, Ontario. The experience which he has gained in building a multi-therapist practice is indispensable for his supervisees, not only from a therapeutic perspective, but also in terms of the business and personal knowledge he is able to pass on. Beyond his role as a therapist, Rob has extensive experience providing consultancy services (vision formation, marketing, branding, SEO) for small to mid-level businesses. He is also the creator and host of the CRPO Exam Video Training Course, and greatly values the support he is able to offer new and emerging therapists. In terms of modality, Rob favours helping therapists discover a personalized approach to therapy which showcases their unique personality, training, and experiences. In Rob’s case, this eclectic viewpoint had led him to develop a therapeutic interest in Narrative Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing techniques. Rob is a Registered Psychotherapist (authorized for independent practice) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and is a member of Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. He lives in southern Ontario with his wife and four children, and is not afraid to admit that he spoils his four year-old havapoo Ollie in embarrassingly excessive ways.
